Despite the frosty weather we’ve been experiencing, 10 Upward Bound students were more than eager to volunteer for the Red Kettle Campaign on December 2nd. “I had fun. There was so much excitement,” said Daneisha, an Early College senior. This was the seventh year that Ms. Meka and Mrs. Alice led Upward Bound students in song and merriment at a Rochester area Walmart in an effort to raise money for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. The money raised will go to various Salvation Army projects around the city this holiday season. At the end of the night the pot was full of generous donations thanks to all the wonderful volunteers!
