The Web Re-envision Project: Prioritizing Web Work Requests

As you know we are currently working on a series of redesign projects to grow and strengthen https://www.monroecc.edu. These projects will position our website to better serve our core Web audiences’ needs, publish crucial messages and information about the College, and allow us to better maintain the information we share with the world.

As you can imagine, these projects will require our internal Web team members to focus their time and talents strongly on achieving project goals. Because of this, any Web work requests outside of core redesign tasks will be evaluated and prioritized on a case-by-case basis using some key criteria, including how the requested work relates to:

·          the safety of the MCC community;
·          legal requirements;
·          enrollment and recruitment goals;
·          accreditation requirements;
·          MCC strategic plan objectives;
·         the
MCC Web’s philosophy and mission; and
·          already-planned work as part of the redesign/re-envision project.

Please plan ahead and allow ample time for your request to be prioritized; please know that requests may be delayed or, in some cases, deferred until a later time.

Of course, throughout the project’s time span, each department/area’s Web liaisons will be able to continue to use Web editing software to directly edit their Web page content. We encourage offices to work with their liaisons closely to keep content updated.

Keep up with the Web Re-envision Project on our blog:

We appreciate your understanding, cooperation and input during this project, and look forward to sharing the results of all of the hard work when the new site launches in Fall 2015!
