Mini-Baja Team Finishes Top Third in Worldwide Competition

The MCC Mini-Baja Team traveled recently to Dayton, Ohio to compete in the Midwest Mini-Baja competition, one of three such competitions that are sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers. These events are open to colleges and universities throughout the world and this year included teams from across the United States as well as Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Korea and India.

The event comprises two days of competition with a series of individual trials, including acceleration, top speed and maneuverability on the first day followed by a four-hour endurance race the next day. Of the 141 teams entered, 118 were allowed to compete after passing a series of technical and safety inspections.

The MCC team, the only two-year college team entered, finished 46th overall.
