I’m delighted to report that Xerox funds have supported eight dynamic faculty projects. Three projects received funding through the Faculty Grants Committee and five projects were funded through the Strategic Innovation Fund. All of these projects are in progress and are expected to be completed by December 2013. This list identifies the funded initiatives and the project director:
Free and Effective Online Homework using WebWork – Paul Seeburger
Expanding Engineering Prototyping Capabilities – John Wadach
CTE/STEM Skills Competition for High School Students – Javier Ayala
Academy for Collegiate Excellence: Math – Laurel Sanger
STEM Developmental Math Lab – Kate Smith
Mathematics Video Bank – Judy Dean
Geoscience Learning Lab – Dan Robertson
Multivariable Calculus in 3D – Paul Seeburger
Congratulations to the faculty and staff who were awarded grants.
Both funding committees will soon be accepting applications for the second round of funding for 2014. Please watch the Tribune for an announcement. I encourage all interested faculty and staff to consider submitting an application.
