AAWCC "I Care" Breast Cancer Walk

The MCC Chapter of the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) plans to host an “I Care” walk for breast cancer awareness on Wednesday, October 12th from 12pm – 1 pm at the Brighton Campus and at the Damon Campus. Come help AAWCC support the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester!

Plan to wear PINK and join your friends and colleagues on the DCC 4th Floor Atrium or the Samuel J. Stabins Physical Education Complex PAC Center at the Brighton Campus for a mini-power walk to show your support for this national initiative! The walk at Brighton will be approximately 1 mile around the indoor turf.

We will take our group photograph at 12:10pm and then walk for approximately 20-30 minutes.

Water will be available.

In addition to raising awareness for breast cancer, we’ll also accept monetary donations at the walks (contributions are optional). Prizes will be awarded for fundraising in the amount of $25, $50, and $100. There will also be prizes for the best dressed in pink and most fundraised! Please see our attached flyer for more details.

These events are part of the AAWCC National Call to Support Breast Cancer Awareness.
