Donna '86 & Robert '70 Brennan Support MCC Student Leaders

A new scholarship will provide support for students who make valuable contributions to MCC through their service as student leaders. The Brennan Family Endowed Scholarship was created by MCC Foundation Council member and MCC Alumni Hall of Fame member Robert (Bob) Brennan '70 and MCC retiree Donna Brennan '86. Their scholarship will be awarded to the presidents of student government at the Brighton and Downtown campuses, the MCC student trustee and two additional student leaders.

"We know how much time it takes to be a student leader, which makes it hard to have even a part-time job and balance classwork," said the Brennans. "This scholarship is to help MCC student leaders financially and say thank you for their commitment to giving back. We know these out-of-classroom experiences equip students with incredible time management, leadership, and communication skills that can be applied to any future career. Financial obstacles should not stand in the way of opportunities like these."

Bob and Donna's support will help student leaders immensely and in turn, those students will continue to shape MCC as a nationally ranked institution. The five inaugural recipients of the Brennan Family Endowed Scholarship will be awarded in the fall of 2020.
