MCC Students Sweep SUNY TYESA Robot Competition


As we predicted our Engineering Design Lab (ENR-259) students swept the annually SUNY Two Year Engineering Science Association (TYESA) Robot completion by a landslide on Friday, May 1, 2009. Monroe Community College gained all the top spots: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places.  Now, they are beefing up their Robots for the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) National competition in Austin, Texas on June 13, 2009.

1st Place Team:  Murray Kopit, Christopher Murphy, Justin Sullivan, Salahudin Abdul-Malik (pictured below)
2nd Place Team: Nate Burleigh, Jeff Lederhouse, Dan Pashina, Sam White
3rd Place Team:  Bill Mansfield, Amy Ryan, Vitaliy Prus, Mikhail Udyak
4th Place Team:  Joe Fertita, Mohamad Suleiman, John Spina, Nate Mott
