FAFSA Question: If my parents are divorced/separated, which parent should provide information required for aid?

Students should answer FAFSA questions based on the parent they have lived with more during the past 12 months. (If a student did not live with one parent more than the other, they should give answers based on the parent who provided more financial support during the past 12 months, or during the most recent year that they actually received support from a parent) If this parent has remarried as of today, answer the questions about that parent and the person whom the parent married (step-parent).
