Passing of Professor Emeritus James Connolly

I am sad to inform the college community that Professor Emeritus James Connolly recently passed. Professor Connolly began his MCC career in 1967 as an assistant professor of mathematics. He was promoted to asociate professor in 1970 and became a full professor five years later.

A textbook author, an award-winning teacher, and an active member of the college community, Professor Connolly served on a variety of college-wide committees including MCC's Faculty Council, was a course coordinator, chaired the Fredonia Internship Program, and taught an independent study course in differential equations. He was known to be dedicated to both his profession and his students. He retired in 1995.

Professor Connolly held a M.A.T. in mathematics from Brown University and a B.A. in mathematics from Gannon College.
