MCC Baja Team Competes in Regional Competition

Kudos to the MCC Baja team as they competed in the SAE Eastern Regional competition in Cookeville, Tennessee. Tennessee Tech hosted the race that was held April 18- 21.  Some 90 colleges and universities from around the world were in attendance.

Our car scored an overall finish of 54th besting such institutions as Johns Hopkins, Alfred University, and the Virginia Military institute.  Initial results were very good as we came in 13th in both the acceleration, and weight pull events. Unfortunately drive train issues started to bog us down causing us not to finish the suspension & traction event, and leading to a disappointing 53rd place finish in the endurance event.

Wish us luck as we retool to get ready for the Rochester race hosted by RIT June 6- 9!
