In honor of Law Day on May 1st, Karen Morris, Professor in the Business Administration/Economics Department, reviewed the book Dear Senator, a memoir of Governor/Senator Strom Thurmond's half-black daughter, Essie Mae Washington-Williams. Her life was juxtaposed between the diametrically opposed forces of the civil rights movement in the old-South and Governor/Senator Thurmond, a primary advocate for racial segregation. The review was sponsored by Barnes & Noble.
