The Sociology Film Series will host two film screenings and discussions to kick-off the six-week “Friends” DWI Exhibit, which will be in the Gilman Lounge from Oct. 15th – Nov. 24th. Attached is a flier with details about this moving, powerful exhibit.
The film screenings will feature the documentary “Spin the Bottle: Sex, Lies and Alcohol” (2004), which centers on college students’ experiences with and pressures to use alcohol as part of college culture. “Interviews with campus health professionals provide a clear picture of how drinking impacts students’ health and academic performance, but it is the students’ own experiences and reflections that tell the real story behind alcohol’s alluring public image” (from HYPERLINK "https://www.mediaed.org"www.mediaed.org).
