Last Week's Paleontology Webinar Recording Now Available

The April 29th paleontology webinar "Mass Extinctions in Earth History", co-sponsored by the Chemistry and Geosciences Department and the Rochester Committee for Scientific Information (RCSI), is now available at the following link: https://monroecommunity.zoom.us/rec/share/w5ZLFbjZ01tJYq_ds0zNVfR8F96-eaa8gChP8_ULxB37WX8TL8jBxl4OFcGSOB21

Note 1: Zoom has a difficult time producing accurate transcripts containing geologic terms!

Note 2: Moldavite is a glassy, green tektite formed at meteorite impact sites, whereas fulgurite is a glassy material formed when lightning strikes silica-rich sand. (This is relevant to the Q & A part of the webinar.)

Note 3: There are a few minutes of RCSI meeting business at the start of the recording.

Enjoy, and stay well.
