Alumni Week and Homecoming Celebration Begins on Wednesday!

MCC faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends are invited to participate.  Join us for fun-filled week of events at MCC!

Homecoming Carnival, Wed., Sept. 24

Look for the Ferris wheel on campus and join us for a hoop'n & hollar'n good time. This year's western-themed carnival features rides, a food-truck rodeo, even a mechanical bull. At noon, enjoy an interactive circus performance, complete with aerial stunts, too.  Sponsored by CAB.

Spirit Day Faculty vs. Students Basketball Game, Fri., Sept. 26

Wear black and gold and cheer on your favorite faculty members and our student-athletes as they go head to head in a basketball game on Monagan Court at noon. Come and cheer for your favorite player!

Alexander Street Campus 50th Reunion Weekend, Fri., Sat., Sun., Sept. 26, 27, 28

Reunite with alumni from the college's founding classes at a variety of events including a "pub classics" cooking class at the NY Wine and Culinary Center, a gala dinner and send-off picnic at Powder Mills Park. Join us as we celebrate the legacy of our alumni pioneers.

Homecoming Day 5K/Tailgate Party/Tribunes Soccer, Sat., Sept. 27

MCC’s employees are leading the way by forming teams and seeking sponsorships.  Our 5K Walk/Run scholarship drawing continues to grow and award more scholarships each year!  A total of $4,000 in MCC scholarships will be awarded to current MCC student participants at the conclusion of the race. Registration opens at 10 am, the walk/run starts at 11 am.

Following the race, enjoy a delicious Tailgate hot buffet lunch in the gym; cheer on the MCC Tribunes as they face rivals in women’s and men’s soccer at 1 and 3 pm.

Art Exhibit Open House, Mon., Sept. 29

MCC’s own Alumni Hall of Fame member Peter Monacelli ’73 will be on hand from 12-1 pm to guide you through an exhibit featuring the complete show of his tribute to the 50th anniversary of the JFK assignation.  Can’t make the open house?  Peter’s work is on display all month long in the Forum, Flynn Campus Center.

Damon City Campus Celebration, Wed., Oct. 1

SEGA invites you to join MCC students, faculty, and staff for ice cream, cake, music and more at the Damon City Campus during college hour.

Alumni Cooking Demo, Thurs., Oct. 2

This popular class is sold out; we will add your name to the wait list.  Chef Gerry Brinkman, Michelle Bartell, and students from MCC’s Hospitality Management program will feature outstanding items from the new Food for Thought menu.
