The Writing Center College Hour Workshop Series Presents: Grammar Jeopardy!

Please join us for Grammar Jeopardy
Wednesday, October 20, 2010
12:00 – 12:50 p.m.
Building 19  Room 106
Presenter:  Elizabeth Johnston, English/Philosophy

This fun and wildly popular interactive workshop is modeled after the game show, Jeopardy.  These trivia questions, however, focus on 5 common errors made by students. The categories are:  Commas, Subject/Verb Agreement, Pronouns, Misspelled Words, and Parallelism.

Each category comprises questions ranging from 100-500 points (in ascending order of difficulty).  Students attending the workshop will be divided into teams of four or five and take turns choosing categories and point values.  But be careful!  If you choose and answer it incorrectly, points will be deducted from your overall score and the question will go to the next team.  The team to accumulate the most points wins not only enlightenment and glory, but prizes as well!

Hope to see you there!

Special note to Damon Campus Students:
Grammar Jeopardy will be presented at the Damon City Campus on Wednesday, November 3rd.  Watch for further details!
