MCC Earns Four Advancement Awards in SUNY Competition

MCC is bringing home four awards in the annual SUNY Council for University Advancement (SUNYCUAD) Awards for Excellence Program. The program honors the best institutional advancement work in the 64-campus system. Honors were earned for:

*in the Government Relations Programs category, Best of Catagory honors go to "County Legislature in Transition: Maintaining a Strong Relationship." With a new term limit law going into effect, MCC worked strategically to establish connections with newer legislators in an effort to maintain our positive relationship with the county.

*in the Individual Print Ad category, a Judge’s Citation goes to MCC's adult student ad "Need a New Direction?  Start Here." (see ad below)

*in the Electronic Communications category, a Judge's Citation goes to MCC's Middle States video, produced to introduce the Middle States evaluation team to MCC and kick off their visit earlier this year.

*in the Special Events/Yearlong category, a Judge's Citation goes to the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project for the 2006 Human Rights Series. The fall series included two films, a human rights panel presentation and presentations by Lt.-Gen. Romeo Dallaire, former United Nations commander during the Rwandan Genocide.

Congratulations to all involved in producing this award-winning work.
