Interstate 390 near Brighton Campus to Close

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Tuesday announced the right lane on Interstate 390 northbound between E. Henrietta Road (Exit 16) and Kendrick Road will be closed for approximately two weeks starting Wednesday, June 17, while crews continue construction work on the West Henrietta Road entrance ramp to I-390.  Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time to pass through the work zone.

The bridge is slated to be open for southbound traffic on Mt. Hope Avenue to access I-390 north in about a month. The bridge was closed to traffic in November for deck replacement.  At the same time, the new entrance ramp serving northbound traffic on W. Henrietta Road entering Interstate 390 north opened.

This work is part of a larger $13.9 million capital project that commenced in 2014 to improve the interchange of I-390 and Route 15 in Brighton and Rochester.
