New Web Cyber Security Features
To help protect our Students and Staff from malware and other potentially harmful cyber attacks, Technology Services is piloting a new automated web protection service. When you click on a link or type in a website, from anywhere on the MCC network our systems will compare any requests to a global threat database.
If that web address has been identified as harmful, you will receive a message similar to the sample picture attachment. If you receive this message when clicking on a link, delete the source of the link (i.e. the email). If you receive this message when you type in a website, close the window and do not open the website.
While we are working to bolster our cyber protections, no solution is 100% effective, so it is important to use caution and good judgment when clicking on links.
