Karen Morris and Melany Silas to be Honored as Women of Excellence

MCC congratulates Distinguished Professor Karen Morris (Business Administration/Economics) and Professor Melany J. Silas, Ph.D. (Health and Physical Education) on being selected by the Rochester Business Journal as Women of Excellence.

Established in 2018, the Women of Excellence awards recognize high-achieving women for their professional experience, community involvement, leadership and sustained commitment to mentoring. Winners were selected by a panel of judges composed of previous Circle of Excellence and Women of Excellence honorees.

Congratulations also to MCC Foundation Directors Julie Camardo (Zweigle's, Inc.) and Lori A. Van Dusen (LVW Advisors) who were selected to receive Women of Excellence and Circle of Excellence awards, respectively. The Circle of Excellence recognizes women of longstanding, notable success in the community who are leading the way for other women.

The faculty members and Foundation leaders will be honored at an awards ceremony on September 9 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
