It's not too late to sign up for the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) live webinar “Academic Advising's Integral Role in the Academic Success and Persistence of Students,” sponsored by The Counseling and Advising Center. The webinar will be broadcast on Wednesday, September 12 from 2-4 p.m. in the Empire Room of the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center.
This webinar will provide concrete data and research that clearly connects quality academic advising to the core of any student retention and persistence initiative, while also providing specific examples of methods to enhance the academic advising experiences of students to ensure their success.
Presenters Susan Campbell, President of NACADA, (and former Northeast Region Chair) and Charlie Nutt, Interim Executive Director of NACADA, are recognized internationally for their work in this field. Following the webinar, which will last approximately 60-90 minutes, we plan to continue with a group discussion for MCC participants.
