MCC's Belden Earns Top Athlete Honors


MCC graduate Arin Belden of Warsaw, NY, has been named the top female community
college athlete in the country by the National Alliance of Two-Year College
Athletic Administrators.

Belden, a three-sport standout in soccer, basketball and softball, was chosen
for the Scholar Athlete Award Team from among the country's best community
college athletes. She will apply the $250 scholarship that comes with the award
to her studies at William Smith College.

Belden graduated with a 3.8 GPA in physical education. She was named to the
Academic All Region Team and received a 4.0 in her final semester at MCC. She
was a two sport All-American and a member of MCC's national championship teams
in soccer and basketball. In her two years at MCC, she earned Female Athlete of
the Year honors each year.
