NACUBO Webcast - "Using Technology at Community Colleges"

Educational Technology Services will host the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) webcast entitled, “Using Technology at Community Colleges,” on Thursday, September 13 from 1:00-3:00pm in Monroe B in the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center.

Balancing community college students’ wants and needs with what you can afford to provide is complicated. This program shows you cost-efficient ways to use technology to better serve your students. You’ll connect with panelists who’ve implemented campus initiatives to improve the processes of communicating with students, awarding financial aid, and creating web portals. They’ll share best practices and give you strategies for addressing challenges on your campus.

What You'll Learn:

·         How technology helps you manage students’ expectations through customized admissions and recruitment services while saving you money

·         How to improve communication by efficiently channeling information to students using wireless technology and blogs

·         How to increase use of e-portfolios, distance learning, and self-service functionality to satisfy student needs

·         How technology meets increased advising needs and provides cost-saving measures

Presenters:

·         Chuck Chulvick, Vice President, Learning & Technology Services, Raritan Valley Community College, Somerville NJ
