SPIE's Electro Optics Magazine Publishes Article By Dr. Alexis Vogt
Dr. Alexis Vogt, program chair and professor of the Optics program, was recently published in the August/September issue of SPIE's Electro Optics Magazine. SPIE is an international not-for-profit professional society for optics and photonics technology. The article addresses the growing need for optics technicians to fill job openings, both globally and locally. In the Finger Lakes region alone, the MCC Economic and Workforce Development Center estimates 550 optics technician related jobs are open annually. The precision optics program at MCC is one of the oldest offered optics associates degrees in the country.
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Vogt on this publication.
