The Democracy Commitment Town Hall Meeting- May 6, College Hour

The Democracy Commitment (TDC) and the Diversity and Community Studies degree program are co-sponsoring the first TDC Town Hall meeting at the Brighton Campus.  This event will be held in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center--Monroe B from 12-1 on Monday, May 6, 2013.   TDC Town Hall Meeting is a new forum open to everyone in the MCC community to voice opinions and ask questions of community leaders, public figures, elected officials, and political candidates.  Join us as Amee Bearne, TDC National Coordinator, officially welcomes MCC to The Democracy Commitment family, and James Norman, President/CEO of Action for a Better Community (ABC) leads a Town Hall discussion about the question, “What can I do to change my social world”? and offers students community engagement opportunities in the city of Rochester. This event is free and open to the MCC community.

Please view our video that is being highlighted on the national Democracy Commitment website: https://thedemocracycommitment.org/ and special thanks to Marianne Cianciotto (VAPA) for producing the video.
