Promoting Scintillating Online Communication - ITC Audioconference


MCC will host the Instructional Technology Council's professional development audioconference entitled, "Promoting Scintillating Online Communication," on Tuesday, December 5 from 2:00-3:00pm in the Board Lounge. The presenters is Lisa Ciardulli, Director of e-Learning Services, Savannah College of Art and Design.

How can educators encourage students to engage in more thoughtful and focused synchronous and asynchronous online communication? The presenter will discuss tips for planning, delivering, moderating, and grading discussion threads and live chats to get the most out of these e-learning communication methods.

This Web-based, interactive audio conference presentation will be conducted using the online meeting software, Macromedia Breeze. Participants will receive a URL where they can log in to take part in the session. No additional software or plug-ins are necessary.  The presenter will use audio and video, and participants can type in their questions via the online chat function.
