Bob Lasch, ATC program coordinator, appeared on News 10NBC to talk about MCC’s 11th annual High School Machining Competition on Friday, May 1, while the event was going on.
A total of 24 juniors and seniors representing nine western New York State BOCES competed. They had to create parts shown on provided prints as accurately as possible using machines at the Applied Technologies Center.
Bob discussed the purpose of the event, how the competition worked and what skills are involved for students to succeed in the competition.

Niagara /Orleans Career and Technical Center -- Medina
Niagara /Orleans Career and Technical Center -- Sanborn
Wayne Career and Technical Center -- Williamson

Erie One BOCES Harkness Center -- Buffalo
Genesee Valley Career and Technical Center -- Batavia
Cayuga/Onondaga BOCES -- Auburn
The winners will be determined by next week.
