MCC Volunteers Contribute to Success of Pathways Forum

On November 18, 2010 Monroe Community College hosted its second Pathways to Entrepreneurial Success Forum – a centralized, community resource forum for local business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. By hosting the forum, MCC promoted the entrepreneurial spirit in Western New York and, together with other local colleges and universities, emphasized higher education's important role in economic development .

This year’s forum attracted approximately 400 entrepreneurs and representatives from area businesses and organizations, banks, as well as business development and government agencies. Members of the community-wide planning committee received positive feedback on the quality of the workshops and the overall organization of the event. MCC also received a “Thumbs up” in the November 27th issue of the Democrat and Chronicle.

Planning for this year’s forum began in the spring 2010 semester. The success of this event was driven by the collective efforts of many MCC volunteers. On behalf of the Pathways Planning Committee, thank you to the MCC volunteers listed below for helping make the Pathways Forum a continuing success and asset to the community.
