Racism Without Racists

Monroe Community College has joined with the YWCA to take a Stand Against Racism on Friday, April 27, 2012.  A quarter of a million people are expected to take a stand against oppression and intolerance and to celebrate the richness of human diversity.

Please consider supporting our efforts by attending a panel discussion entitled “Racism Without Racists,” led by MCC Faculty Natasha Chen Christensen (Sociology), Dina Giovanelli (Sociology) and Tokeya Graham (English/Philosophy) from 2:00 to 3:30 pm (Room 8-200) and our symbolic stand in the front loop from 4:00 – 5:00 pm (Brighton Campus – convene on the front lawn).

This event is sponsored by the Diversity Council; Student Events and Governance Association; MCC Student Government Association; the Department of Anthropology, History, Political Science and Sociology; the Diversity and Community Studies Degree; English/Philosophy Department; Damon City Campus Student Services; and the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development.
