Arrest Made in Sibley Building Harassment

We are pleased to report to you that the Rochester Police Department has made an arrest in the March 6 harassment of an MCC student in a second floor bathroom in the Sibley Building. The suspect has been charged with second-degree harassment. No arrests have been made yet in the other Sibley Building incidents.

We continue to encourage all members of the college community to always be vigilant in regards to your personal safety. Be aware of your surroundings, walk in pairs or groups, avoid secluded areas and request an escort from Genesee Management on the Damon City Campus or the Public Safety Department on the Brighton Campus if you feel unsafe.

Please join me in thanking the MCC Public Safety Department, Genesee Management and the Rochester Police Department for their efforts on this case and their ongoing efforts to help ensure all of our safety.
