Student Mural at DCC

What’s life been like in Rochester over the past 10 decades? Find out. A new mural on the second floor of the Sibley Building, in the building where MCC’s Damon City Campus is located, depicts life in Rochester during each decade from the time the building was constructed in 1919. The mural spans nearly a football field and comprises snippets painted by service-learning students in an art course at Monroe Community College’s Damon City Campus.

The project, commissioned by the MCC administration at Damon City Campus to celebrate the campus’ 15th anniversary, exemplifies the campus’ integral connection to the downtown community.

The mural was unveiled on May 14 with a community reception. The Democrat and Chronicle wrote an article on it, and the story also aired on News10NBC.
