INB (Banner 8) End of Use

Our SUNY vendors, ITEC and SICAS, announced Banner 8 is end of life (Oracle Forms 11g) and security and data integrity concerns exist. SICAS states that 2 or 3 of their Banner 8 forms still require conversion to Banner 9 and they target January 2020. SICAS also reported a data integrity issue where additional fields may only get updated with using Banner 9. If anyone is using Banner 8, it could cause data integrity issues. SICAS is recommending that we disable the use of Oracle Forms as soon as possible.

Computing Services intends to remove access to Banner 8 by January 31, 2020.
