The STARS (Supporting Transitioning and Returning Service members) Project will be conducting its series of informational sessions focused on educating MCC faculty, staff, and administration on methods to better understand and serve our student veteran population during this year’s June PD Week.
Each session will have a different focus, including topics such as military culture, transitioning from military to civilian life, veteran heath care benefits, veterans in the classroom, and health issues (including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury) faced by our student veterans. Brief descriptions of each session are included with the schedule in the attached file.
You are encouraged to attend all sessions to complete STARS certification or simply attend those that interest you the most.
