CSTEP Students Chosen to Present at National Conference


Kudos to the following CSTEP students as they were selected to present their research project at a national conference!
 
Luis Henry conducted research this past summer at the Center for Adaptive Optics at the University of Houston Texas.  He was selected to present his research at the SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science) in Austin, Texas.  The title of his research is “To See or Not to See: Visual Acuity With and Without Adaptive Optics.”

Kendra Denson conducted research in summer 2003 at Clarkson University.  She was selected to present her research at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students in Dallas, Texas.  The title of her research is "Preparation of Silver-Coated Titanium Dioxide as an Antimicrobial Agent for Surfaces in Public Facilities".  

Pierce White conducted research this past summer at Binghamton University.  He was selected to present his research at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students in Dallas, Texas.  The title of his research is “Assessment of TRAF-6 Localization in Intestinal Epithelial Cells after Interleukin 1 Stimulation”.

Selection to present at the conferences was based on the quality of the abstract submitted.  Competition was at the national level.
