On Sunday, November 3, 2013, Bob King, Science Specialist for MCC’s Agriculture and Life Sciences Institute, was interviewed by 13 WHAM (Channel 13), as part of a news story regarding the national dwindling bee population.
The “As Bees Vanish, Food Supply is Threatened” segment also includes an interview with a local beekeeper whose concern for diminishing bee numbers brings to the forefront a national problem. Bees are essential for cross pollination of plants and trees, to say nothing of the production of honey, and they are nationally disappearing at an alarming rate.
