Presidential Transition Town Hall Video Available

At yesterday’s Presidential Transition Town Hall (video link), MCC officially welcomed President DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna. Thank you to everyone who participated.

During her remarks, President Burt-Nanna noted, “Our mission-centric work for the 2021-2022 academic year will focus on five priorities:

  1. Inspiring the way forward “from the inside out” and collectively embracing a forward-thinking organizational culture. This includes playing our part to position the Finger Lakes region to lead the state beyond the impact of current crises of public health and economics, and the distress of racial and social injustices near and far.
  2. Safely and compassionately transitioning students, faculty and staff back to in-person learning and work during summer sessions and the fall semester.
  3. Prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
  4. Attracting and enrolling prospective students from the breadth of our diverse community, and retaining current and returning students.
  5. Planning for and advancing major initiatives, such as MCC’s new strategic plan and the groundbreaking of the FWD Center at our Downtown Campus.

Learn more about these priorities at our next MCC Town Hall, to be held virtually at noon Friday, May 21.
