Tracey Britton Named to NJCAA Soccer Hall of Fame

Former MCC women's soccer coach Tracey Britton was among eight people announced as inductees into the NJCAA Women's Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Britton was joined in this year's class by one of her former players, Melissa Hornfeck. Britton and Hornfeck teamed to deliver back-to-back NJCAA national championships to Monroe in 2004 and 2005. The Tribunes had 43 wins, two losses, and one tie over that span

Britton, who works for Student Services at MCC's Downtown Campus, patrolled the MCC sidelines for 15 seasons, the last nine of which came as Tribune head coach. Monroe was a perennial power under Britton. She also led the 2001 squad to a national championship, and her teams had three runner-up finishes as well.

Britton finished her career at Monroe with an astonishing 171-12-9 record and she coached more than 20 All-Americans.
