The members of the Professional Development Committee of the Faculty Senate along with the Human Resources Department are privileged to announce that the Legacy Lecture Series Honoree for 2012 is Professor Terri Tugel of the Biology Department. Professor Tugel has held the position of full-time, tenure-track faculty at Monroe Community College since 1987. She will be retiring this spring. To quote one of her colleagues from the Biology Department, she has consistently “displayed a thoughtful and caring attitude toward all students. ... in essence, exhibiting the behavior and work ethic that many of us in the Biology Department strive for.” Her service to the college has been extraordinary. Indeed, Professor Tugel served as the President of the Faculty Senate during one of the most difficult times at MCC and did so with grace and dignity.
