Tribune Engineers Capture 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Places

MCC Engineering and Computer Science students won 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places at the annual SUNY Two-Year Engineering Science Association (TYESA) Design Competition hosted by Broome Community College on Friday, April 26th.  Broome Community College edged MCC by a slight margin to win first place.

The contest required student teams to design and build autonomous robots that could find and pick up golf balls on an 8’ X 8’ track and deposit them into a centrally located box.  Although the Tribunes failed to capture the SUNY TYESA title, they are highly motivated to avenge their loss at the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Competition to be held in Atlanta on June 24th.  MCC will be seeking their fifth consecutive national ASEE title.
