Important Message from Services for Students with Disabilities

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) office is relocating to Building 1, Room 231.

Starting on January 14th through the remainder of the Spring 2013 semester all Accommodation Letters for students with disabilities that are registered with the SSD office will be emailed directly to instructors’ and students’ MCC email accounts.  Therefore, hard copy Accommodation Letters will no longer be provided by the SSD office.  During the student registration process, we strongly encourage all students to discuss their accommodations, as well as their learning strengths and learning challenges, with each instructor.  You may find that some students will print out a hard copy of their Accommodation Letter for you to keep on file.

The Accommodation Letter email(s) will be sent from the SSD office, specifically the "mailto:ssdtesting@monroecc.edu" email address. The emailing of Accommodation Letters currently applies to all students registered for courses at the Brighton Campus, Applied Technologies Center, and Online courses. To view your student’s accommodations, simply open the attachment in the email.  Please be sure to scroll down to view all letters in the pdf file, as you may have more than one student registered in your course with special needs.  Students continuously register throughout the semester, so please make sure to check your email for any updates from the SSD office.

Please be mindful that the information shared is confidential and consider the sensitivity of individual student needs.  If you have any questions and/or concerns please feel free to contact the SSD office at 292-3190.
