There has been some confusion related to the purchase of the recently introduced Netbooks and lower cost Laptops/Desktop computers. Regardless of cost all Netbooks, Laptops, and Desktops require a numeric Property Control tag for ETS management purposes as well as Property Control purposes.
As such, these items are considered equipment and must be ordered from your capital equipment funds. Orders for these items must be received on an approved requisition by the Purchasing Department no later than June 15, 2009.
