TCC: Registration Closing for October's Supper for Success - The Purposeful Prof
Looking for ways to help students develop habits for learning? Wondering how to get students to connect to your content and take responsibility for their learning?
Join Judi Salsburg Taylor, Professor, ESOL/Transitional Studies, as she shares The Purposeful Prof: Making Informed Pedagogical Decisions, the result of her recent professional leave. Participants will become familiar with the website and explore ways in which the content can support classroom instruction, regardless of your experience or discipline. Feel free to bring any device with Internet capability.
This website includes research on teaching adults as well as interviews with MCC faculty and specific methods for improving your instruction.
Join us Monday, October 15, from 5-6:30 in Monroe B for dinner and a workshop entitled The Purposeful Prof. Check in begins at 4:45.
The Teaching and Creativity Center is pleased to invite you to all of the 2018-19 Suppers for Success. These workshops are held on the Brighton Campus three times per semester from 5 - 6:30 pm. Following dinner, MCC faculty and staff lead informative workshops. Presenters anticipate that some participants may need to arrive late or leave early. Events are free. Please register by Monday, 10/8.
