NYS Police, Sperr Family Inspire Law and Criminal Justice Students

On September 17 at the Damon City Campus, representatives of the New York State Police joined Andy and Jean Sperr in giving $1,000 each to the Monroe Community College Foundation in support of the Andrew “AJ” Sperr Endowed Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was established in 2006 to honor fallen State Trooper AJ Sperr, an alumnus of MCC’s Law and Criminal Justice Program. The scholarship helps students cover the costs of attaining their MCC degree in law enforcement and criminal justice.

Troop E of the New York State Police held a golf tournament in July at Victor Hills to raise money for  scholarships at MCC and St. Lawrence School in Greece—two of the schools AJ Sperr attended.
