MCC will host the ITC audioconference entitled "Strategies for Identifying and Interviewing with At-Risk Online Students" scheduled for Tuesday, May 23 from 2:00-3:00 in the Board Lounge. Paul Warner, Director of Learning Technologies and Distance Learning at Anne Arundel Community College, will describe in detail a process Anne Arundel Community College adopted to reduce attrition rates of first-time online students. The process involves identifying at-risk students, following an intervention strategy outlined by the advising office, and providing students with the necessary tools and resources to be successful in the online learning environment. Warner will describe the steps taken to implement this intervention strategy, identify the stakeholders, and discuss documentation used to guide the project.
