I am pleased to announce that the Homeland Security Management Institute (HSMI) is rejoining the Academic Services Division. After consultation with SCAA, Director John Perrone and his team will report to Dean Michael Karnes of the Public Safety Training Center rather than to the President’s Office.
The HSMI has successfully garnered many grants to provide education and training in terrorism-related topics to first responders and citizens’ groups. HSMI is located at the PSTF and serves many of the same constituents nationally that PSTF does locally.
