Final Days of Spider-Man Film Shoot in Downtown Rochester

Street-level access to the Sibley Building / Damon City Campus continues to be restricted through Thursday, May 9, while filming for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” movie takes place in downtown Rochester.

Portions of Main Street, between South Plymouth and East avenues, are closed daily, between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. Side roads are closed to traffic intermittently. Some areas are off-limits to pedestrians.

Students and employees are encouraged to plan ahead for road closures and traffic disruptions.
-- The MCC Shuttle will continue with its new route between the Brighton and Damon City campuses until Thursday. The new route adds a few minutes to travel time, but is expected to still be within the usual half-hour commute schedule. However, please be aware that delays can happen. Students and employees are encouraged to allow for extra time when traveling between campuses.

The shuttle bus pickup and drop-off locations are unchanged.

-- Entrance to St. Joseph’s Garage can be accessed through Division Street and Pleasant Street. The North Clinton Avenue entrance to Mortimer Street Garage can be accessed through Division Street.

-- Public buses are re-routed for the entire duration of the film shoot. For route information, go to www.rgrta.com

Because different portions of Main Street are closed at different times, I encourage you to regularly check the City’s Spider Man webpage for information on street closures and detour maps. You can also follow the City’s Twitter feed @cityrochesterny (#SpideyRoc) or the City’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cityofrochester.ny.

I appreciate your patience and will continue to update you if any additional changes occur. Thank you very much!
