The Department of Public Safety is pleased to announce that its Dispatch Office, currently located on the 2nd floor of the Spina Administration Building, is moving to its new location in Building 21 with other Public Safety offices and operations. Dispatch operations will commence on a permanent basis in the new location beginning Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 11:00 p.m.
Building 21, traditionally referred to as the “Facilities” Building, is located on Residence Lane between the Residence Halls and the MCC Theater in Building 4. The Department of Public Safety now shares this building with Facilities Services and the Purchasing Department.
The new Dispatch Office offers a larger, more efficient working environment that accommodates the myriad technology required to meet the communication and safety needs of the MCC community. It stands to reason our dispatchers are anxious to move into this new state of the art facility!
Please feel free to stop in and visit the Department of Public Safety’s new offices. No appointment is necessary and we would be happy to give you a tour!
