Top 10 Things to Know During Finals Week

Dear MCC Faculty and Staff, For your reference, the following information was shared with current students via email and the Student Tribune.

Top 10 Things to Know During Finals Week

  1. MCC is proud of you and all you have accomplished this semester despite unprecedented circumstances.
  2. If you are graduating this month and/or transferring to pursue your next degree, congratulations! Plans are in the works to formally celebrate your success in early December. In the meantime, be sure to check your mailbox and MCC email on Saturday, May 30. One more gift for you: a digital graduation frame for your Facebook profile pic. Please use #MonroeCC2020 to share your achievement!
  3. If you are returning next fall, MCC's campus reopening plan will be announced in early June. You will be among the first to know!
  4. As soon as MCC receives clearance to disburse Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act grants to eligible students, information will be sent directly to your MCC e-mail account. (more info)
  5. Textbook Buy Back is now underway through May 22; textbook rentals are due by June 1.
  6. Scholars' Day has been reimagined. You will be able to view student presentations in myMCC (Blackboard) on Wednesday, May 27 through Tuesday, June 2.
  7. On Wednesday, June 3, you will receive a link to your Spring 2020 Semester grades. You will then have the option to choose between receiving a traditional letter grade or a designation of Satisfactory/Pass/Unsatisfactory for each course taken this semester. Be sure to check your email.
  8. Summer session registration is now open. Summer session courses will be delivered via online and remote learning options beginning June 1.
  9. SLN and RMT are course codes that will help you distinguish between summer learning options: SLN--fully online classes, log in throughout the week to complete your work; and RMT--remote classes, participate in lecture and group activities through software/apps such as Zoom at specific times.
  10. Thank you for studying at MCC. We wish you a happy and safe summer!
