I am pleased to announce that Renee Dimino’s appointment as Interim Dean of Academic Foundations was approved by the MCC Board of Trustees on April 4, 2016.

Renee has been an active member of the Transitional Studies faculty since her full-time hire in 2009, serving in a variety of department and college-wide roles. In addition to regularly utilizing high-impact practices such as service learning and learning communities, Renee has played an integral role in the TRS department’s review and revision of Integrated Reading and Writing classes. She has presented at regional and national conferences and, with her colleagues, has presented professional development opportunities to Finger Lakes Community College developmental writing faculty and helped establish the Center for Academic Reading at the Damon City Campus as part of the Title III grant.

I have no doubt Renee will bring this same talent and energy to the interim dean position.
