Please mark your calendars – Campus Sustainability Day (CSD) is October 22. This is an annual celebration of sustainability in higher education. Every October, colleges and universities are encouraged to create events to recognize the achievements of, and challenges for, the tens of thousands of students, faculty and staff working to instill sustainability principles in higher education institutions and their surrounding communities.
Information on the programs being planned by the Sustainability Steering Committee will be detailed in the Tribune at a later date. If you, your office, or your department is planning a program or initiative to celebrate CSD, please email information on that event (brief summary/beginning and end time/location) to Valarie Avalone, Chair of the Sustainability Steering Committee, (<mailto:vavalone@monroecc.edu>) by October 3 and that information will be included in the Tribune announcement.
