First NABCEP Solar Thermal Exam Pass Rate 86%

MCC’s first class of Solar Thermal majors (ST02) have completed their coursework. A select group attempted the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Practitioner Exam. Congratulations to Applied Technologies instructors Bill Horton and Dale Pearce on an 86% pass rate for the first cohort of students on the Solar Thermal Exam.  Passing students had an average of 81% on the exam and with all students counted, the average score was 78%.

According to NABCEP, “A candidate who achieves a passing score has demonstrated basic knowledge of the fundamental principles of the application, design, installation and operation of solar heating.”
